Vendors 

For those clients selling a property through us we will require copies of two items of ID for each of the named owners in order to comply with current Anti Money Laundering Regulations. This will need to include one photographic item such as a passport or driving licence and one item confirming your address such as a utility bill. 

Purchasers 

For those clients buying a property through us we will require copies of two items of ID for each of the named purchasers in order to comply with current Anti Money Laundering Regulations. This will need to include one photographic item such as a passport or driving licence and one item confirming your address such as a utility bill. In addition to these documents, we may also require evidence of your funding arrangements such as copies of bank statements and/or agreement in principle confirmation from your chosen lender. 

Email information 

We hold an email database used to inform subscribers about new properties that we bring to the market, or about updates or changes to a property that we are currently marketing. Subscribers are asked to confirm that they wish to opt in to this list and are given the opportunity to opt out at any stage, at which time their email address is unsubscribed. 

How long do we hold the information? 

We only keep your information for as long as necessary. Generally your personal information is held for 7 years after our last contact with you, however we reserve the right to keep information for longer if we feel that this is in the legitimate interests of Waterside Estate Agents. 

In order to comply with the Anti Money Laundering Regulations, we have to hold records of your personal identification for 5 years. 

Who has access to this information? 

In order to progress your transaction we may pass on your some of your personal data to trusted organisations legitimately involved with your transaction, such as solicitors, surveyors, EPC assessors or other Estate Agents directly involved with your sale or purchase.
